Carla with Mex (from 01.06.18):

village church Naters - Hegdorn 904m - Trommel 1080m - Geimen 1037m - Blindtäli picnic area 1152m - Blatten 1327m
We start our hike in the old part of the village of Naters. Our path, badly marked at the beginning, leads from the ossuary right around the church and at the first turn-off to the right into the Hegdornweg. We walk through the cobbled alley to the beginning of the mountain hill (Stahlgasse) where a signpost points steeply upwards. Once on the road, turn left for about 30m to the "Bellavista bus stop", cross the road and continue uphill between the houses, following the beautiful hiking trail.
At the hamlet of Hegdorn the paths divide; we walk 100m to the right and uphill through the meadow (follow the markings!). Always keeping the direction - a forest road is crossed several times - we reach the foot of the Horu climbing mountain. There are very recommendable routes for ambitious climbers. It also has a pilgrims' shelter with a large table and benches, which invites you to have a picnic.
Now the most beautiful part of the hike follows. A romantic, rocky path with some steps leads around the Horu towards "Geimen". We like to stop here to enjoy the magnificent view over the Rhone valley. On this part of the trail there is a small lattice bridge - but it is on the slope, you can hold on and one edge is overgrown. Therefore this should not be a problem for most dogs. At the Trämel above the small Bitschji lake (private lake!) we meet another chapel, where there is again a big table with benches and a fireplace. Further on we walk a little bit above and below a Bisse.
Gently downhill, past goat stables, we walk to Geimen, which is on the road Brig - Blatten. At the chapel on the other side of the stream is the main signpost.

Alternative circular route: from Geimen back to Naters on the old mule track, 1h

We continue walking in the direction of "Blatten". After 5 minutes the path splits; while the old mule track leads via Mälböim to Blatten, we choose the path that turns right into the shady Blindtälli. Soon we find ourselves in a mystical landscape full of mossy rocks. There are 2 paths leading through the Blindtälli, both of which are beautiful. The two paths meet at a little bridge. Through bushes and light forest we enter the valley, which is bordered on both sides by high cliffs. You are near the small brook "Bruchji", so you can cool down even in hotter weather.
At the end of the valley near the waterfall there is again a fireplace with table and benches. Now the final ascent follows; quite steeply it goes uphill through dense forest and pastures to Blatten. The pretty village is the starting point of further routes and the valley location of the cable car to Belalp, where the post bus stop is also located.
