Gellert-Bruderholztour

Gellert-Bruderholztour

Talissa with Finja (18.02.2018):

So that Hund can get loose first, I turned into Karl Jaspers-Allee, followed the street almost to the end and then turned right into the Galgenhügel-Promenade. Continue along Speiser- and Adlerstrasse and into Sissacherstrasse. Then turn left into the St. Alban-Ring and then it goes up a little. For the next section I recommend to take the dog for a short time, because the Hexenweglein is a bicycle path. You now turn left onto the Münchensteinerbrücke and follow the road until you reach the Zwinglihaus. Theoretically, you can also walk straight up the Gundeldingerrain from there, but since I wanted to add an extra staircase, you turn right into the Gundeldingerstrasse and then left into the Ingelsteinweg. At the end of the path there is a staircase leading to the Gundeldingerrain, which you go down again a bit, so that you can take the next staircase to the Bruderholzrain. At the top of the stairs, turn left onto the Bruderholzrain, where you can enjoy a beautiful view before turning around and walking towards the Wolf Gorge. From the Wolfschlucht you walk along the Wolfschlucht promenade to the tram stop "Airolostrasse". Via the water tower promenade you can walk to another highlight, the water tower. Via the battery system, the path to the left next to the Predigerhofstrasse. Follow the Predigerhofstrasse until you walk between the fields. There you take the first path on the left "Ob der Wanne". At the end of the path turn left into the Hundsbuckelweglein and pass a playground. Leash the dog here. After the playground you turn right down into the Höllenweglein. After Höllenweglein, turn right into Zwölfjuchartenweglein and then left along the same path. Follow the path until you reach Giornico Street, cross it and a little further down, turn left onto the trail. I recommend to keep your dog on a leash on the trail, because the path runs next to a settlement and you also pass the playgrounds. At the end of the trail turn right into Jakobsbergerholzweg and then left into Reinacherstrasse. Follow this road until you reach Münchensteinerstrasse. Follow Münchensteinerstrasse to the left and after about 150 m you will find this coloured cow. At the crossing Münchensteinerbrücke you cross the bridge and return to the starting point. Follow the Hexenweglein again and then the St. Alban-Ring to Karl Barth-Platz.
