Thur waterfalls - Gräppelensee

At 12.30 we started at the parking lot in Alt St.Johann towards Unterwasser and then followed the signpost to the Thur waterfalls - breathtakingly beautiful! And - almost we missed them :-))) Via footbridges and tunnels one gains various insights there. But be careful, it is very slippery there!

Afterwards we went on to our next destination, the Gräppelensee (with a coffee break on the way) and then via Laui to our next destination (from here over cow pastures with relaxed cows). Lucky for us, on this tour we could avoid the cow grates.

The small Gräppelensee was also worth a break and we had the great luck that the footbridge was free.

Unfortunately we had a good rain shower on our descent back to Alt St.Johann. And since we were partly on meadow paths, we had to concentrate.

At 17.00 we were back at our cars

A nice half day tour, just with a lot of hard surface. On the way there are two barbecue sites, refreshment facilities and a self-service shop with drinks,

Not to be underestimated: a large part of the route is directly exposed to the sun, therefore only suitable for cooler days/daytimes.
