Livia with Kaya (from 12.08.18):

Whether summer or winter, the Urnerboden (1350 m.a.s.l.) is one of my favourite destinations. As it is very hot again today, here also perfectly suitable with a little cooler temperatures. Sunday afternoon excursionists (also late risers) can park their cars at the entrance of Urnerboden and walk along the Fätschbach. We park our car (free of charge) directly at the cable car and start the Clariden high-level trail from the top station Fisetengrat. In winter the toboggan run also starts here. With beautiful mountain scenery we hike towards the Klausen pass. The hiking trail is well signposted and also prepared. Nevertheless, a good surefootedness is necessary, because short and steep sections are near the rock face (with chain climbing aid). The absolute highlight for us we reach at the glacier lake. Here you should allow enough time to admire this natural wonder from close up. We have to reach the post bus and enjoy the view from above. Over some cow pastures the path then leads to the Klausen pass, where the post bus takes us directly back to the starting point "Urnerboden village".

From the Klausen pass you can also make a short trip directly to the glacier lake. Duration about 40 minutes.
