Tösswald - Buri waterfall - Scheidegg - Hüttchopf bull pasture

Today we want to explore new shady places and find them in the beautiful Tösswald (Fischenthal) ZH.

We park our car on the large square "Breitenmatt" and walk first on the gravel road and then along the wide road to Buri. The road is currently marked with a driving ban, but unfortunately this does not prevent many people from driving through.

At the Buri water reservoir shortly before the bull pasture (approx. 30 min.), the detour down the stairs to Töss is worthwhile. The brave ones can even swim here :-).

More beautiful waterfalls and high Nagelfluh rocks follow until we reach the Tösscheidi. There are wonderful barbecue spots here. Actually we wanted to turn here towards Scheidegg, but the path is closed. We continue walking along the Töss and only later realize how much this short term change was worth it :-). Up to here it is also a wonderful trip with a baby carriage.

About 20 minutes after the Tösscheidi we turn right, uphill. Good shoes are recommended! In dry weather the cave adventure to the fire cave is worthwhile for sure-footed people. Under the Nagelfluh rock roof there is a comfortable, dry barbecue area even with a well.

We walk back to the fork and then towards "Wolfsgrueb". There would be parking possibilities on this side as well. Now we walk a bit along the road towards "Restaurant Scheidegg". luckily today there is also a driving ban here. With a wonderful panoramic view you have the possibility to stop there during non-Corona times. However, we love paths which we can enjoy alone and prefer to walk in the forest (shade). Therefore, after about 20 minutes, we turn right from the road and walk back into the forest. A large, wide forest path leads us to "Hüttchopf" and then to "Tannen" where we walk steeply downhill back to our starting point.

There are so many beautiful paths here that even on well-frequented days everyone will find his relaxation. A great excursion especially for hot summer days. The hike can also be shortened at will.
