This 4 km snowshoe route at an altitude of almost 3,000 meters offers a breathtaking and unique panoramic view of the Plaine Morte glacier.
We first take the gondola from Les Barzettes to Violettes and then the "Funitel" to Plaine Morte. The tour starts here. First there is an easy descent towards the glacier, then a loop up to the glacier and then follow it back down to the mountain station.
Equipped with the necessary equipment and specialist knowledge for the high mountains, we took advantage of the perfect weather and conditions to climb the Mort Tothore at 2934 m.
