The tour starts from Brülisau very comfortably with the cable car to the Hoher Kasten.
On the Hoher Kasten you have a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of the Alpstein chains, the Appenzellerland, the St.Gallen Rhine Valley and the Vorarlberg Alps. On a well-maintained hiking trail, the majority of the route takes you on a pleasant gradient and small ascents over the Kamor and the Zapfen to the Resspass.
On the Resspass there is a wonderful barbecue area which invites you to roast and linger.
From the Resspass the route continues towards Chluserenweidli and then to Brülisau.
The tour is moderately crowded and in warm weather you can start it very well in the late evening (last cable car 18.00) and walk into the sunset just like we did. So it is not so warm anymore and hardly any people on the way.
