Lake Gruyère - explore comfortably

We started in Morlon at the Hotel Le Gruyerin. At the hotel there are a lot of parking lots, I suppose it is no problem to park there. The landlady is very friendly and tries to speak German if you don't speak French. Besides you eat very well there. I would say that it is rather a high class cuisine, but you can eat without any problem with hiking boots and appropriate clothes. :) From there a small nature path goes directly down to the lake. At the lake there are also enough free parking lots. It was very impressive to see Lake Gruyère without water, there was only a small and a bigger stream running through the lake, nothing more. At the parking place at the lake there is a small information board. We walked along the lake towards Echarlens. This path was beautiful and you could see again and again the impressive pictures of the drainage. After about 2.5 km we walked slightly up the mountain and we came to a field landscape. Just follow this path until you reach the junction. At the junction you have to turn left and then you come to a country road with light traffic (take your dog on a leash, because the road is very confusing). If you follow this road, you will come back directly to the Hotel Le Gruyerien.

All in all it is a very pleasant and beautiful walk.
The length is about 5 km and one is on the way for about 1 h 15.
