The panoramic hike is a technically easy circular hike. The view over the southern part of the Glarnerland with its characteristic mountains Ortstock and Tödi impresses again and again. From Grotzenbüel the slightly ascending path leads in about 55 minutes to the Kneugrat (height difference approx. 320 metres), where a wonderful view of the Bächital and the Glarus Alps awaits you. From the Kneugrat you hike in about 20 minutes to the Seblengrat, which is practically at the same altitude. From there you walk through the ice gallery - a natural spectacle - further up to the Gumen. The Gumen - popular starting point for climbing experiences (via ferrata and climbing garden) offers not only a breathtaking panorama of the mountains Tödi and Ortstock, but also a variety of plants. Via Orstockhaus the path leads slightly downhill in about 1 ½ hours back to Grotzenbüel. Whether you enjoy coffee and cake in the mountain restaurants Gumen, Ortstockhaus or Chämistube, "grilling" at one of the open fireplaces or a detour to the fairytale kingdom of the dwarf Bartli (dwarf castle and dwarf cave), the panoramic hike invites you to linger at various points and is guaranteed to be an unforgettable hiking experience.
