Sapün - Rodeln

From the parking lot in Langwies (left after the village of Chur), the winter hiking trail starts immediately. Surprisingly shady for this month, but already a lot of snow.

We're starting the ascent.

2 times we cross a creek, whereas at the 2 bridge there are mostly beautiful ice formations. Then it gets a little flatter before the last short ascent to the mountain inn Heimeli.

Here we warm up with a drink before we start the return journey with the sledge (also possible on foot via the same route).

I myself like to start around 9.00 am, then there is usually not so much going on.
