The path leads up to the Oeschinensee gondola station. After about 10 minutes the path turns left towards the frozen lake (please inform well before the hike if the frozen lake is accessible).
Arrived at the lakeside, follow the instructions and walk around the lake.
Before ascending to the gondolas, it is worth taking a break at the Restaurant am See to refuel warmth (attention: -17 degrees on this day)

There is the possibility of tobogganing from Oeschinensee to Kandersteg. However, sledges must be rented at the valley station, there is no possibility to rent sledges at the Oeschinensee.
Oeschiwald
The 1 km long toboggan run in the Oeschiwald (village Kandersteg) is a pleasure for the whole family. During the winter season, it is illuminated daily from 18.00 - 22.00 hours.
