Betten - Bettmeralp

We started the hike twice during our holidays.

The first time we took the gondola to Betten and walked from Betten to Bettmeralp. First the path leads through the typical Valais village of Betten with its many wooden chalets. After that it climbs steadily and about after the first fifth I could mount the snowshoes, because there was enough snow now. If not until Betten is white, the Valaisans don't prepare the path. So we were mostly alone and with the snowshoes it was definitely easier to get through the snow. The view is very nice and there are always benches to enjoy and relax. At the many game tracks, hares, deer, chamois, birch chicken, ptarmigan etc. there is a lot of game. Once we saw a deer and once chamois. Again and again we pass original Alpchalet and also an accumulation of Alpchalet, which forms the village Domo, which is only inhabited in summer. The last fifth we walked through the forest until we arrive below the village Bettmeralp. The ascent is definitely quite strenuous.

The second time we took the descent and then the gondola back to Bettmeralp, I rather simply classify this.
