Herrenboden - Hochstuckli

Even the start is an experience: we sit down in the revolving gondola and start our adventure!

From the mountain station, the path turns left and leads us along the road to Herrenboden. Deep snow and large snowflakes prepare us for a winter adventure of superlatives.

From Herrenboden, it's time to put our snowshoes on, as the knee-deep fresh snow would otherwise be impossible to tackle. There are no tracks in sight, so we follow the pink signposts.

Parallel to the ski lift, which is no longer in operation, we take the 300 vertical meters under our feet. Every now and then we take a break to enjoy the magical winter landscape, pause for a moment - and also to catch our breath :-))).

Kaya is grateful, because we can remove the snow that sticks between her paws with the latest household trick (whisk).

The otherwise wonderful panorama is missing today, but it's all the nicer to enjoy the silence and solitude.

Now it's time to change ground - remove the snowshoes and mount the board. As the ski lift is no longer in operation, we can now enjoy a powder run in a class of its own!

It's a dream and Kaya also enjoys the downhill run until we arrive back at the Herrenboden restaurant.

Also ideal for beginners, as this section is not at risk of avalanches (but always check beforehand!).

We are already looking forward to our next visit!
